Memberships

Starting January 23, the Teen Center will meet at Eldredge School on Friday evenings from 5:30pm-8:00pm. The Teen Center is a welcoming drop-in space where teens can socialize, unwind, and enjoy a variety of activities in a safe and supportive environment. Weekly activities include pick-up basketball, dodgeball, more relaxed activities like creative art and board games, and so much more. We will have special activities periodically like field trips, game nights, dances, and movie nights. Additionally, Teen Center members will have the opportunity to share their ideas for upcoming activities and special events. Your ideas will help the Teen Center remain unique, relevant, and most importantly, fun!

There is no membership fee to join. Additionally, Teen Center members receive discounted rates on EG Rec teen programs and trips.

Teen Center History: The Teen Center Program was founded by the late Bob Houghtaling, who devoted more than 30 years to serving our community as the Town’s Director of Prevention and Substance Abuse. Under his leadership, the Teen Center became a welcoming drop-in space where teens could gather, connect, and feel a sense of belonging. The East Greenwich Community Services Department is excited to begin a new chapter in the Teen Center’s history—one that honors Bob’s legacy and continues his commitment to creating an inviting, supportive environment for all teens.
