Celebrate the arrival of spring with a 90-minute guided tour of the historic Blithewold Estate during its beloved Daffodil Days. This experience features a docent-led tour of the elegant Blithewold Mansion, followed by a stroll through the estate’s gardens at the peak of their spring bloom.
Inside the Manor, guests will explore beautifully preserved interiors showcasing original furnishings, decorative arts, and family artifacts that reflect Blithewold’s significance as one of New England’s finest Country Place Era estates. The tour then moves outdoors, where spring truly comes to life.
During Daffodil Days, the gardens are awash in color, with nearly 100,000 daffodils in over 80 varieties blooming across Blithewold’s 33-acre seaside landscape. Guests will enjoy sweeping views of Narragansett Bay as docents highlight the estate’s garden design, historic plantings, and the display of spring bulbs that signal the season’s renewal.
Comfortable walking shoes are recommended, as the garden portion includes paved paths and gentle slopes. Time will be allowed for photos, questions, and soaking in the beauty of this iconic springtime display.
Perfect for history lovers, garden enthusiasts, and anyone seeking a memorable seasonal outing, this tour offers a vibrant blend of heritage, horticulture, and coastal charm. Price includes transportation and tour of house & garden.
