Programs
Grab your pickaxe and get crafting with BlocksCAD, a web-based tool that introduces kids to 3D modeling through blocks-based coding! Using drag-and-drop coding commands, you will manipulate simple 3D shapes to transform them into your favorite Minecraft objects and characters! This will be a highly interactive course where you will learn primarily through building, eventually turning a series of cubes into a fearsome Creeper, friendly Axolotl, or valiant diamond sword. You will finish the class with several projects that you can import into Minecraft, and one will be brought to life using a 3D printer! Each student will receive one complimentary 3D print after class concludes. RICM will print the selected design for eventual pickup and provide computing devices during each session.
Note:
This program takes place during Session 1 (4/3-5/8). No class on 4/17. This is a 5-week class. Unfortunately, we do not offer transportation at school dismissal for this class.
